Communion Music at the 2020 Grammy Awards

Us here at Communion Music want to extend a warm congratulations to some of our friends who have worked their tails off to be nominated at the 2020 Grammy Awards. These are some of those whose work we have followed closely and displayed in things like our newsletter, and some who we’ve even had the pleasure to work with.

Jessie Reyez and her most recent album Being Human in Public have been nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album. We’re as much a fan of her newer stuff as we are her older material, and this nomination is well deserved!

RÜFÜS DU SOL has been nominated for Best Dance Recording with their hit track “Underwater”, as well as Best Dance Album for their 2018 album Solace.

In case you haven’t heard, Communion friend Billie Eilish has made Grammy history by being the youngest artist ever to be nominated for the academy’s top four categories, at just 17! She has been nominated for Best New Artist, her single “Bad Guy” was nominated for Song of the Year, and Record of the Year, and her album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? was nominated for Album of the Year. On top of that, “Bad Guy” was nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance, and the album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Performance, and Best Non-Classical Engineered Album, with the credit of the latter going to her engineers. Just an amazing accomplishment!

We wish the best to all of our friends as well as the rest of the nominees this year. See the full list of nominees HERE
